HEALTH CARE

Seeking a cure

Like the rest of the nation, New York is struggling to ensure access to affordable health care and health insurance for all of its residents. Over the past few years, the state has expanded several government-funded programs. But progress has been slight, and 15 percent of the state population still lacks health insurance. Examine state health care issues:

We asked respondents to rate the job that state government is doing in providing high quality health care, keeping health care affordable, increasing access to medical care and helping the uninsured get health care.
